Need Lighting for Arowana?

Did you feel need lighting or Sunshine for Arowana?

This is my Tank in Philippines.
How to reduce fighting each other Arowana....
I just turning on light 1~2 hour only for take care my fish....
Please see the fin and tail, which not too much damaged by fighting.

Feeding to them twice a week only.
(I will post this feeding matter future post.)

If i turning on light and use black water, of course getting color more better,
i know.....
But my priority is avoid fighting each other and i take care
of them only purpose for breeding.

This is actually no turn  on light aquarium....can you believe?
Sure, we not tuning on light this.
I feel it's enough to good color.....

Did you know where come from Super Red Arowana?

This is WWF organization web page as following site address.

It's according to WWF web site 140cm.....wild caught Super Red.

(I think sure this is over 1m. but im not sure 140cm.)

And this is Home of Super Red Arowana.

Indicated Blue : Some Cites Resister Arowana Farm Location.
Indicated Red  : Native Super Red Home Town (Lake Sentarum & Kapuas Hulu)

So, Singapore & Malaysia use for breeding Arowana picked up from Indonesia.
Only Indonesia is caught wild Super Red Arowana used for breeding before.
It's reason of mostly beautiful super red Arowana come from Indonesia.

The farm PD."M" is releasing super red from province small farm
and it's very nice.
If i have chance for introducing their arowana, i shall up picture to this blog.

Actually i had get this Cross Back Arowana after post Video Clip 
in Feb.2014.


This Fish Video Clip also could find in Henki Red Growth Record also. 

Picture this morning without sun light.

The size of this fish around 18" (45cm) and under sunshine most beautiful 
Traditional Cross Back Golden Arowana today in my house.

How do you feel this cross back golden arowana?

I had find my favorite type of arowana today.
How do you feel this dark color Arowana?

I feel it's very rare and i would like to pick it....but, no more enough space
in my aquarium.
It's from "Global" farm, please gazing this farm continue.

Blue-Base Cross Back Golden Arowana are three type officially known.

3 type of the Blue-Base Cross Back Golden Arowana.

The officially known 3 type as following
1. Blue-Base Malayan Bonytongue   (藍底過背金龍)
2. Slender Frame Blue-Base Malayan Bonytongue   (細框藍底過背金龍)
3. Deep-Golden Blue-Base Malayan Bonytongue   (赤金藍底過背金龍)

Generally they are sales in the market all of "Blue Base X-Back".
But it's really different between No.1,2 & No.3 above mentioned.
In the market available only No.1&2, it's almost 99% and
getting growth change to ivory color.

Only No.3 "Deep-Golden" type are quite different, getting old and
getting more and more geting Blue color.

How we could find "Deep-Golden" type?
The answer as following may be....in order important items.
1. Selecting the "Farm".
2. Selecting Dark color fish and level lower shining one.
3. Selecting not "Slender Frame" type.
4. Don't selection appear "Blue" and bellow 20cm fish.
    (The real Blue-Base is not so blue at their small time.)

Also it's very important don't buy "not good appetite" fish.

How to make Black Water for Tropical Fish Aquarium (Extract Black Water)

How to making (extract) concentrated Black Water?

The black water has making good color and good health of their skin

as you know.

But i usually use this black water after cleaning water with "NATTOU".

1st.

Any way, i will show you how to making concentrated black water. 

For easily, you could making black water by purchasing 

"OCEANFREE Natural Miracle Leaf".

(The other method use natural leaf getting forest mountain.)

4 box of the leaf put the bowl with 3L of water.

Boiling water 1 hour slowly.

Completed extract concentrate black water.

It's times 6~8 could be getting black water compare to follow to standard 

Ocaenfree instruction "how to use".

2nd.
If you want extract black water from natural emviroment, please check the following web site use specific of Tropical Almond family leafs.

Mature tree of Tropical Almond

Autuminnal tints of Tropical Almond 

(exactly dried leafs should boiling)

Also those black water are reason included Tannic Acid in red (yellow) 
dry broadleaf tree leaves of autumn (autuminnal tints).

It's not beautiful Super Red Arowana...I found.

Dear, all reader of this blog.
I had found the large Cross Belly Super Red Arowana in Last Year...
I could be say, it's not Beautiful Super Red Arowana.
